Atlantic Fringe Casino is a land-based casino located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which opened in April 2021 to increase the number of entertainment venues in the city and thus attract more tourists to the province.
The province’s casinos are the destination of choice for entertainment in every region of the territory and represent a leading sector in the tourism industry. They rank among the major tourist attractions in the city and have had a positive economic impact on the province’s economy.
There was a need for such an establishment in downtown Halifax. And the government decided to locate it near the center of town. But later, it was decided to place the casino on the waterfront, where were already tourists.
