Key Points . . . Read!

  1. $290.00 - is the registration fee - however, only $50.00 must accompany this application. The rest must be paid during the Fringe ($240.00). Usually from your box offce. This fee is much less than other Fringes.
  2. $1.00 - surcharge per ticket. The Fringe has expenses to offset, plus potential taxes and GST.
  3. $10.00 - maximum ticket price. This includes the $1.00 surcharge. Groups are advised to be considerate.
  4. All questions must be answered. Incomplete; no acceptance. Unsure of details; reasonable estimate/guestimate. If the question does not apply, write “N/A” - where appropriate.
  5. Only one show per application form. If your group is entering more than one show, use separate forms.
  6. Groups/performers will not always be accepted on a frst come basis or on artistic criteria but on general criteria . . . geo/ethnic/sex etc., i.e., because this is an Atlantic Fringe to comply with government grant criteria, we need a certain number of plays from Atlantic Canada. The fnal decision will be the Fringe director. If there are too many entries, there will be a waiting list decided on the earliest date received. We hope to have 6-7 venues and 40 shows. Almost always FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.
  7. Deadline for applications is July 7th, 2010. Get it in early! Energize Now! REMEMBER. You are the supreme commander - whatever you want to put on, goes on.
  8. All international/U.S. groups must pay 15% performance duty. You can apply for a waiver to Revenue Canada. Your responsibility.

"In Italy, for 30 years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."
